Terms of Use (Conditions, Disclaimer)

Conditions

  • The service is intended to promptly provide up-to-date information including power outage areas, the number of affected households, and the expected restoration time. Please be aware that in some cases, the information may be preliminary and may change at a later point, when additional data become available.
  • This service does not list information on power outages caused by low-voltage (100 V or 200 V) equipment and power outages resulting from work on equipment. Additionally, we may not be able to provide information about power outages caused by a disconnected service line running through your building, or by equipment malfunctions in your building. There may also be instances of a time lag between when a power outage is identified either on site or by customer notification and when information is provided. We ask for your understanding on this matter.
  • “Affected households” is the total number of households experiencing a power outage lasting 5 minutes or longer, rounded to the nearest 10. (However when the number is less than 10, it is rounded up to 10.)
  • Be aware that “Cause” may require several days before it is identified, and that there are cases when a cause cannot be announced during the period when the information is posted.
  • While a power outage is continuing, information is collected and updated every 3 minutes. (Around 10 to 20 minutes is required before the information is posted on the website.)
  • In the power outage history information, information is collected and updated every 3 minutes about power outages occurring within the past week where power has been restored. (Around 10 to 20 minutes is required before the information is posted on the website.)
  • Be aware that there are cases when it is not possible to post some or all information due to system or communication trouble, or similar reason.
  • Be aware that this service may be unavailable at times of heavy access.
  • This service is provided for free. (However the user shall bear any communication expenses paid to the Internet provider or other parties.)
  • Information provided through the service will only be disclosed with the intent of promptly providing up-to-date information including power outage areas, the number of affected households, and the expected restoration time. Please refrain from using information provided through the service for any purpose other than that indicated above.
  • Be aware that the contents of this service may be changed, added to, or discontinued at any time without advance notice.

Disclaimer

  • Kansai Transmission and Distribution shall not be liable for any loss of life, health, or property, or any kind of damage incurred by or caused by a person using the service or acting in reliance on the information of the service.

Copyrights

  • Individual documents, photographs, illustrations, logos, videos, designs, and musical pieces (Not limited to these; hereinafter, referred to as “website data”) posted on the Kansai Transmission and Distribution website will only be disclosed with the intent of promptly providing up-to-date information including power outage areas, the number of affected households, and the expected restoration time. You cannot use the website data for any purpose other than the stated purpose.
