Project Outline

Issues in the power field

The demand for electric power in Cambodia is rapidly expanding as the country’s economy continues its steady growth. This necessitates the immediate construction of power facilities in the special metropolitan zone of the capital city Phnom Penh, which accounts for 70% of domestic power demand.

Consulting outline

Employees are dispatched on site from Kansai Transmission and Distribution, NEWJEC, and Chugoku Electric Power to assist in drawing up designs for expanding the power transmission and substation facilities and power distribution facilities in Phnom Penh, preparing the bidding plans and documents and reviewing the bidding process, aiding in contract negotiations, and supervising construction, etc. These consulting activities are how we transfer our technologies and expertise to engineers in Cambodia.
Through this project, we are helping Cambodia to achieve a steady supply of electric power, and also contributing to the country’s future development.

Objective To achieve a more reliable power supply from distribution facilities in Phnom Penh, so as to meet the expanding demand for electric power in Cambodia.
